What we offer….

Courses and Workshops

We are working to book a full programme of evening classes and one or two day weekend workshops in a wide range of traditional and contemporary crafts, at all levels, from beginners to master classes and for participants of all ages. Check out our workshop pages, but if you don’t find what you’re looking for, contact us, as we have a number of workshops lined up that are not yet on the list as we are waiting to confirm details.  If what you are after is not yet on the calendar, we may be able to arrange additional courses if there is enough interest.

Stroud is a fantastic town for community events and festivals and here at Craft at the Centre we plan to be part of the action.  We will be holding regular seasonal celebrations, festivals and family days, with workshops, demonstrations and taster sessions.  Keep an eye on our events pages, sign up for our email notification service or like our facebook page to find out what’s going on.

Home Education Groups

We currently have one Home Education group running, focusing on pottery. Check out our Workshops page for further information.

Drop in sessions

Certain time slots will be designated “drop in sessions” where people can come use our facilities to work on their own projects.  A member of staff or volunteer will be available to assist, but these will not be tutored lessons. Sessions will cost £7.50 – you don’t need to book in advance, just turn up. Our first Drop in sessions focus on pottery and run on Wednesdays from 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm and Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm.

There may also be other activities running during these timeslots eg therapeutic craft groups with a tutor on a regular schedule. Craft Partners will have access to work during drop in sessions and it is hoped that there will be a lively, social atmosphere at these times, with different activities taking place in different parts of the centre.
